Every year on September 11th, Pepperdine honors the day with a flag display on the front lawn across from the Ocean.
There is one flag for every person killed in the attacks that day. 2,974 in all.
It was very powerful and humbling to stand in the flags are realize the magnitude of that day.

That is really cool that they do that. We had a really good discussion at work that day. We decided that is was the event where our generation knows exactly what they were doing when they heard about it (like the JFK assassination).
